Watershield®
Odourshield®
WaterShield® flexible covers were developed by Glomac Engineering Ltd. to prevent the growth of algae on filters and clarifiers in water treatment works, where ozone is used in the treatment process.

Although the covers were developed for clean water applications they may also be used to cover tanks on sewage treatment works, i.e. tanks for holding raw sewage, sludge, storm water, as well as assisting in foam retention and odour containment.

These versatile covers are custom designed and manufactured to suit each individual tank, be it a new structure or an existing one. Special requirements, i.e. man access, viewing access and pipe connections, can be incorporated and positioned to suit operational requirements.

Some of the applications where WaterShield® flexible covers can be utilised are:

Water Treatment Plants

  •  Virtual elimination of algal growth on filters and clarifiers (where  ozone is used in the treatment process)
  •  Wind Barriers (undisturbed floc blankets)
  •  Prevention (ingress of insects, bird excrement, leaves and any  other debris)

Sewage Treatment Plants

  •  Wind and sunlight barriers (undisturbed sludge blankets on final  tanks)
  •  Retention of foam (aeration tanks)
  •  Containment of odour and gasses (raw sewage and sludge  holding tanks)

OdourShield® is a system, similar to WaterShield®, for covering applications on sewage works, i.e. containment of odour and smells on inlet works, sludge tanks, channels, chambers etc. It can also be used for the containment of foam on aeration processes.

The OdourShield® covering system can be produced in either the flexible material or in rigid 316 stainless steel.
When odour is the problem attack it systematically, determine the source of the odour and cover it. If the odour problem persists, then contact us for advice on an odour removal system for use in conjunction with OdourShield®.
